Colours Spelling

£0.99

This worksheet includes 10 names of colours in Arabic with shuffled letters to be written in the right order.

Description

This worksheet includes 10 names of colours in Arabic. The worksheet can be used in two aspects:

Spelling:

The learner looks at the shuffled letters and try to figure out what the name of the colour is depending on the coloured circle provided with each set of letters. After naming the colour the learner orders the letters and writes the word four times in a lined space designed for this purpose.

Not only does this activity help the learner memorise and learn the names of the colours, but also it makes the learner aware of the fact that Arabic letters join when they are written into words.

Speaking:

For this activity, the teacher can ask the learner related questions:

هل تعرف هذا اللون؟

ما هذا اللون؟

كم حرفا في الكلمة؟

ما أول حرف؟

ما آخر حرف؟

Such questions will help the learner in several aspects:

  • learn and memorise the names of colours (speaking)
  • practice counting and the numbers
  • become more aware of the fact that Arabic words are made of letters that change slightly when they are joined

Elaboration:

The teacher may elaborate more suing this worksheet by asking the learner to name objects, animals, fruit and vegetables that have the same colours.

The teacher can also ask about the favourite colour, or what colours the learner likes or dislikes.
