Vocabulary and Crossword Puzzle
This worksheet is designed to help learners of Arabic (basic level) build their vocabulary in a simple and enjoyable way.
The worksheet is divided into two tasks.
Task One:
is designed to introduce the new items of vocabulary. There are 12 items with 12 images. The learner has to match the words with the images. After having matched them verbally, the learners is requested to write the related item in the specified space next to the image. This will give the learner further chance to memorise the spelling of the word.
Task Two:
is designed to reinforce the new items learned in task one. The crossword puzzle is to be done depending on the memory of the learner. The images are provided but not the words. The teacher at this stage can ask the learners about the names of the items.

After the words have been revised, the learner fills in the grid with the words.
